MY OWN HORROR COLLECTION

I want to just take a moment to write about some of the movies that I love. I'm an addict to just about anything if you really want to know the truth. I love the old, classic B&W films just as much as the new ones. Horror movies to me are so much more than a sick, joke you wait in desperation on the edge of your seat watching. I think horror movies are an art-form. Something YOU create, and you can be a sloppy, and as blood fixed as you wish. It takes you into the part of your mind that you can no longer keep in touch with. Our society is based upon being civil human-beings, but not all of us can be. Bringing us to insanity. I feel that in a horror movie the director and the cast can be that insanity for once in their life and it's perfectly okay. I envy them. Creating a horror movie is the ultimate dream...

Something genuine and infamous. There's beauty in what you can't see in the dark and I really am upset that the horror industry is slacking with the growing times. Movies such as "The Strangers" & "The Happening" along with many others are turning out to be nothing more than a disappointment. I think the last really well done movie I really was instantly hooked on was the remake of the Hills Have Eyes, the original done by a huge hero of mine, Wes Craven. I seek safety in knowing that some LOWER-BUDGET movie industries are getting the fame and glory for once. Take for instance, 8 Films To Die For HORRORFEST. Those films I look forward to more and more each and every year! (Note- this year they are due out in late March.) They have the all-over feel of good horror movies in a sweet set. Another well put together series of horror is the Masters of Horror series. An hour in length for each short film and you get the gore of a decent movie. Grant it, out of the pack not all are golden but I see great work in them and instantly almost want to buy them off the racks.

I am happy to see more series coming up in the horror industry.

Anyways, my movie collection is based upon a few greats...

-A Nightmare On Elmstreet series
-The Friday the 13th series
-Child's Play series - including the Bride of Chucky, Seed of Chucky
-Halloween - both original series and Rob Zombie's remake were well done
-Rob Zombie's House of 1,000 Corpses & Devils Rejects
-The Texas Chainsaw Massacre - original movies & remake
-The Hills Have Eyes (as mentioned above) - the original & remake & follow up film
-The Lost Boys
-Cabin Fever - I enjoy Eli Roth's work greatly
-2001 Maniacs
-I Am Legend
-Disturbia (much more of a thriller I know...but...it's my website, I'll put whatever the hell I want on here.)
-Blairwitch - many seem to laugh at that but I enjoyed it
-Blood & Chocolate
-Underworld - series
-SAW - series
-Shaun of Dead - great horror-humor film
-The Evil Dead - series, classic
-Creepshow
-Gremlins
-Dawn of the Dead
-Land of the Dead
-Resident Evil - series...

and much more along those lines. I constantly am watching or reading about new horror movies due to come out. And personally, I probably waste TOO much time doing it. But I have a decent interest. No ones fault except my own.

WHAT I’M ABOUT!

It is with this website that I fully intend on expressing my own opinions in the HORROR-world. I have long been a member of myspace but wish to expand my horizon and move onto something more serious, that maybe will be looked up by people who actually have something intelligent to say or discuss. I don't want anything to be taken to the extremes on here but...basically in a nutshell, I'm going to talk about MOVIE REVIEWS, BOOK REVIEWS, UPCOMING EVENTS, THE CLASSICS, THE LEGENDS, & much, much more ALL RELATED TO HORROR!

I hope you enjoy my blog and feel free to give me any comments on the site or any of the reviews.

**PLEASE NOTE: I'm new to this whole experience so please, have patience with me. I do hope to have the site up and running in good time and regularly. But until I get there, your support and patience is greatly appreciated. Thanks guys!
